My journey as a child of war, a refugee, and a partially deaf foreigner everywhere I go helped me realize we all have the ability to learn, adapt, survive, grow, and thrive.

As a guest speaker, I share my journey from a war-torn country to being an executive with the specific intent of helping others see their own journey and appreciate just how much potential lies within each and everyone of us.

“Saludos a La Ceiba: An Infinite Debt of Gratitude to Others” is based on a single event - the rainy afternoon when my mother and I first arrived at La Ceiba, Honduras. It is dedicated to celebrating the compassion within all of us, and which seems to be ebbing in our society.

“Funny, You Don’t Look Deaf” leverages humor and offers a first-person account of living and thriving in a world not meant for "people like me." "Being Deaf..." can be presented to general audiences, but it is intended for children who are deaf or hard-of-hearing and their parents.
